INTEGRAL REGENERATIVE DESIGN RESEARCH GROUP

The Integral Regenerative Design research group (DESIRe) is focused on the development ofsustainable design for a positive environmental and social impact.

The main objective is to bring visibility to design as a source of change, through a holistic and integrative vision. Our research focuses on three main lines.

MAIN LINES

  • Regenerative Design: Research and design of biomaterials and infinite cycle products, for their incorporation into society and industry, establishing protocols and appropriate fields of action. Study of the semantics and impact of Regenerative Design on the environment and well-being of users (environmentally sustainable design).

  • Neurocreativity: Study of the effect, impact and acceptance of the design of products and interiors on users, through the evaluation of neuronal and biometric responses for the establishment of protocols of action for the well-being of people (Socially sustainable design).

  • Technology: Research and development of technological systems for the creation of state-of-the-art laboratories in the area of neurocreativity and regenerative design.

The research team has a multidisciplinary profile made up of designers, engineers and architects, giving solidity to the research from the different fields of work. Two competitive internal projectsINC-UDIT-2024-PRO16, INC-UDIT-2024-PRO20 are currently being developed.
