UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, consolidates its position as a pioneering institution with the inauguration of its new International Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences, located at Calle Alcalá 506 in Madrid

The inauguration ceremony, which was attended by numerous institutional and academic authorities and representatives of more than one hundred companies from the innovation and technology sector, was presided over by the Mayor of Madrid, Mr. José Luis Martínez-Almeida, who emphasised during his speech the strategic relevance of this space as an engine of talent and knowledge transfer for the capital.

In addition to the Mayor of Madrid, the inauguration was attended by Nicolás Casas, Director General of Universities of the Community of Madrid, and Almudena Maíllo, Councillor President of the District of San Blas-Canillejas, along with several representatives of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Government of Spain

The rector of UDIT, Juan Cayón Peña, emphasised during his speech on this day: "Today we are not only inaugurating a new campus: we are inaugurating a new way of understanding technological training in the 21st century. UDIT is entering a new stage, reinforcing its role as a bridge between knowledge and practical innovation, taking a step forward to train the professionals that companies need. We do so from the conviction that technical excellence must be accompanied by ethical criteria and humanistic thinking".

With more than 7,000 m² of state-of-the-art facilities, the new campus houses the UDIT ProtoSpace, a 1,500 m² technology laboratory designed for students to prototype and validate real solutions in connection with industry. It is equipped with robotic arms, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines and virtual and augmented reality systems, among other advanced technologies

The ecosystem is complemented by the Innovation Hub and the UDIT Materioteca, two spaces that foster creativity and direct connection with the professional environment. While the Innovation Hub acts as a meeting point for entrepreneurial talent, companies and technology clusters, the Materioteca, with more than 7,000 materials, inspires experimentation in all kinds of projects

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the Official Degreesoffered  at the UDIT Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences include Product DesignData Science and Artificial IntelligenceFull-stack Software Development and the double degree in Data Science + Full-stack Development. The training is complemented by a postgraduate offer that includes official master's degrees in Product DesignArtificial Intelligence and User Experience (UX).

As Juan Cayón pointed out"we want this new campus to consolidate itself as a space of excellence. At UDIT, our mission is to go beyond theory: we seek to develop technological talent that not only knows how to programme or analyse data, but also how to apply it to solve the great social and business challenges of the next decade. Here, the future is learned by doing.
