Which bachelor's degree do you need to study robotics?

If you want to start training in People-Centred Robotics and become a versatile and multidisciplinary professional, we tell you what baccalaureate you need to have studied in order to access the official Bachelor 's Degree in Robotics and what it consists of.

Is it necessary to have previous specific training?

No, if you want to study the Bachelor's Degree in Robotics you can do so without having studied a specific baccalaureate, you must meet the entry requirements set out in art.3 of Royal Decree 412/2014. However, the recommended entry profile is that of a student with a strong affinity for technology, an outstanding performance in mathematics and a strong interest in problem solving

Ideally, this would be a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology, paying special attention to subjects such as Mathematics and, if possible, having studied subjects related to Computer Science, Programming, Computing and Technology in general.

What will you learn in the Official Degree in Robotics?

The UDIT Degree in People-Centred Applied Robotics is an official 4-year degree, with which you will be able to design and build intelligent robots for the service sector with people's experience and interaction with them at the centre.

During the first year, you will acquire a solid foundation in programming, linear algebra, digital systems and user-centred design, among others.

During the second year, you'll delve deeper into programming, artificial intelligence, and user experience, applying your knowledge in project workshops.

In the third year, you'll acquire extensive knowledge of artificial intelligence and human-robot interaction, while delving into computer architecture, electronic design, and telecommunication systems. At the same time, you will get in touch with the industry by developing your professional internship in leading companies in the sector.

The final year will be the final step towards your insertion in the labour market, learning about autonomous and collaborative robots, service robotics, IoT systems and the entire legal framework that surrounds the area of robotics

You will be able to work in areas and positions such as: robotic systems developer, application programmer for robotic systems, developer of AIoT electronic solutions based on embedded systems, robotic systems designer, robotics software developer and strategic consultancy, among others.

Do you want to experience Artificial Intelligence in summer?

At UDIT's AI & Code Camp, you can find out if programming and software development are your vocation. For two weeks, from 30 June to 11 July, you will explore both the world of design and prototyping and the fascinating field of Artificial Intelligence. You will learn how to take your ideas from conception to final mock-up, using professional 3D modelling tools, basic robotics and 3D printing.

In parallel, you will delve into the fundamentals of AI, applying this technology of the future to develop projects that address current problems. State-of-the-art equipment and tools will be at your disposal to foster your creativity and innovation.

One of the great challenges in today's technological ecosystems is to identify opportunities for collaboration between agents with different profiles. This need was the starting point for the Master's thesis of Yannick José Medina, a student of the Master's in Artificial Intelligence at UDIT, who developed an innovative solution for Secpho, a cluster of companies specialising in DeepTech. His proposal: a conversational recommendation system based on artificial intelligence that facilitates and speeds up the connection between partners.
