UDIT reinforces its internationalisation strategy with the visit of the School of Visual Arts in New York and the University of the Arts in London.
As part of its internationalisation strategy, UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has held meetings with some of the most prestigious academic institutions in the field of design. These meetings aim to strengthen alliances and expand collaborations towards unique opportunities for students and teachers.
In this context, Rocío Sancho, director of the Department of Interiors, received representatives from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. This meeting marks a further advance in the collaboration between the two institutions, continuing the consolidation of the agreement between the two, which allows the development and participation in joint projects for interior design students and their teachers to be added to the exchange opportunities.
For her part, Verónica Meléndez, director of International Relations and Institutional Accreditation at UDIT, led another meeting with the international area of several colleges of the University of the Arts London (UAL). This meeting is part of a series of bilateral visits between Madrid and London that have taken place over the last two years with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation and the planning of concrete actions that add to the educational experience. The most recent took place in September 2024, during the London Design Festival, with an intensive workshop with the London College of Communication (LCC), one of UAL's main institutions.
These meetings have served to define new steps in the current collaborations, extending the relationship to more UAL colleges and increasing the internationalisation opportunities for the UDIT academic community.
Face-to-face interaction with partner universities continues to be key to the development of joint initiatives that drive innovation in design education.
