ANIMAFEST UDIT 2025

On Tuesday 17 June, from 12:00 noon, the Campus of Design and Creative Industries of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, hosted the first edition of ANIMAFEST UDIT, the animation festival and competition that aims to become a professional springboard for the work of students, as well as a meeting point for the industry in Madrid.

In this first edition, ANIMAFEST UDIT had an official competition category for UDIT students and three special categories for alumni, students from other universities and high school students, with the aim of making visible and rewarding emerging talent in the field of animation at university, pre-university and international level.

During the day, attendees were able to enjoy the viewing of all the short films submitted to the competition, voting for their favourite; they attended two exciting and fun masterclasses given by Víctor Paredes, Chilean animator and co-founder of Moho Animation Software, and Sara Vivas and Carlos Ysbert, the dubbing actors of The Simpsons, and they were able to experience the ANIMAFEST UDIT Awards Gala live, where the professional jury revealed the winners of the edition.

In addition, the students of the Degree in Animation exhibited some of their creations in the hall of the building located in Avda. Alfonso XIII, 97, in a space that allowed them to promote networking and connection between industry professionals.
