    The market currently demands professionals capable of understanding, developing and implementing data-driven solutions that enable companies to make better decisions and increase the value contributed to society.

    The degree is an intersection between data science and Artificial Intelligence. Data science is in charge of extracting information from data through different types of analysis and algorithms while Artificial Intelligence interprets, learns and makes decisions based on the data collected.

  • You must have the ability to think logically and analytically to find the algorithm to solve a problem and process data efficiently.

    You must have basic programming skills to implement Artificial Intelligence and Data Science techniques.

    Curiosity is essential, as it is a constantly evolving field, and a proactive attitude is key to not being left behind.

    Be able to work in a team, as most of the projects in the industry involve several profiles for their development.

  • You will use several programming languages, including C++, C# or Python along with their most used libraries.

    You will learn to use development tools and environments such as Express.js, Visual Studio, TensorFlow, Anaconda, NLTK, Apache and Eclipse.

    You will use common tools and technologies in data projects such as SQL Server, MongoDB, OpenCV and Tableau.

  • The projects you will carry out during the degree will reinforce the theoretical contents learnt in class. Some examples are:

    • Customer segmentation based on buying behaviour for personalisation of marketing strategies.
    • Development of intelligent agents that learn to play and improve in a simple game.
    • Implementation of a recommendation system for a content platform.
    • Development of a prototype virtual assistant for specific tasks
    • Classification of images and identification of objects in them
    • Sentiment analysis on social networks to identify positive or negative attitudes
    • Data visualisation projects to explore trends and patterns
  • By taking the Bachelor's Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, we will provide you with access to the exam that allows you to obtain the Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certificate.

    • Azure AI Fundamentals: allows you to achieve the first level in the path designed by Microsoft for Artificial Intelligence professionals. It provides an overview of the implementation of the main AI algorithms in Azure.
  • If you want to study the Bachelor's Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence you can do so without having taken a specific bachelor's degree, but you must meet the entry requirements set out in article 3 of Royal Decree 412/2014.

    Even so, the recommended entry profile is that of a student with a strong affinity for technology, an outstanding performance in mathematics and a strong interest in solving problems.

    The ideal would be to study a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology, paying special attention to subjects such as Mathematics and, if possible, subjects related to Computer Science, Programming, Computing and Technology in general.

  • The first step is to request information. You can do this through the website, by telephone on 91 555 25 28 or by email: orientacion.universitaria@udit.es.

    The next step is to take the level test, the aim of which is to find out the student's academic skills and detect any reinforcement needs before the start of the course.

    Once you have taken the test and have been informed that you have been admitted to UDIT, make a registration reservation to guarantee your place for the next course . Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Yes, this degree is official and valid in Spain.

    You should be careful with other degrees offered on the market as "Official Degrees" that, in reality, are not. To check if a degree is official, you should consult the web of the RUCT (Register of Universities, Centres and Degrees), an official body of the Ministry of Universities that oversees academic organisation and university officialdom.

  • Data science and artificial intelligence are intrinsically related. Data science provides the data and analytics needed to train AI models, while AI uses these models to automate and improve analytics processes. Together, they enable the creation of innovative solutions that can transform entire industries.

    1. Data collection and cleaning: Data science is responsible for collecting, cleaning and preparing data for analysis.
    2. Model development: using AI techniques, models are developed that can predict, classify and make decisions based on the data.
    3. Implementation and monitoring: AI models are implemented in real systems and monitored to ensure their efficiency and accuracy.
  • A data science and artificial intelligence specialist combines technical and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include:

    • Data analysis: identifying patterns and trends in large data sets.
    • Algorithm development: creating and optimising machine learning algorithms and other AI methods.
    • Model implementation: integrating AI models into production systems to automate processes.
    • Data visualisation: presenting results in an understandable way to facilitate decision-making.
  • Data Science focuses on extracting knowledge and patterns from large volumes of data. It uses statistical, mathematical and programming techniques to analyse and process information, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

    Artificial Intelligence (AI), on the other hand, is dedicated to creating systems that can learn and make decisions autonomously. This ranges from machine learning algorithms to deep neural networks and natural language processing.

  • This degree starts from scratch, so it is not necessary to have studied a specific type of baccalaureate.

    Even so, due to the type of degree, it is usually advisable to have a bachelor's degree in Science and Technology, paying special attention to subjects such as Mathematics and, if possible, having studied subjects related to Computer Science, Programming, Computing and technology in general.

    Although not essential, previous experience in programming and participation in personal software development projects is a significant added value.

  • If you come from the Spanish education system, to study this Degree at UDIT you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

    • You must have passed the University Entrance Exam (EVAU).
    • Access from a Higher Level Training Cycle (CFGS).
    • Access from completed Spanish university studies.
    • Access through the university entrance exams for those over 25, 40 or 45 years of age.

    Students coming from educational systems outside Spain:

    • Access from pre-university education systems of European Union member states and countries with reciprocity agreements.
    • Holding the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
    • Access from foreign pre-university education systems.
    • Admission with foreign university studies by homologation.
    • Admission with official foreign university studies completed or not yet completed by official validation.
  • UDIT does not require a cut-off mark for admission to the Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. However, due to the specificity of this degree, potential students must take their own specific admission tests.

  • Of course: as it is an official Bachelor's Degree, you can apply for the public grants available for this type of degree. Moreover, these grants are compatible with our internal study grants. Admission process:

University Degrees: to guarantee the best match between your profile and the degree chosen, the admission process includes two tests:

  • Psychopedagogical test
  • Personal interview with the academic department of the degree
