Genspain is an initiative whose main objective is to regenerate and revitalise the Made in Spain brand as a value that, when applied to the field of fashion, is attractive both socially and culturally.

Ernesto Naranjo, designer and lecturer in the Fashion Department of UDIT, University of Design and Technology; Alejandro Gómez Palomo, founder and creative director of Palomo Spain; Moisés Nieto; Leandro Cano; Ynés Suelves; Carlota Barrera; Sonia Carrasco; Juan Vidal; María Rodríguez, founder and creative director of Reveligion; Jaime Álvarez, founder and creative director of Mans; Paula Cánovas del Vas and Miguel Becer, founder and creative director of ManéMané, have joined forces to give rise to this initiative that seeks to promote Made in Spain know-how.

The main idea of this platform is to be a faithful reflection of a way of making fashion that, while respecting and honouring traditionally Spanish couture craft practices, also has the ability to stand out as attractive, modern and aspirational in the eyes of the national and international community.

To carry out the presentation of this new initiative, supported by ACME (Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España) and the Madrid es Moda platform, an event was organised in which, in addition, an exhibition was held with some of the most representative archive pieces of each of the creatives who have come together around the "Genspain" movement.
