Estigia Softworks: from PCF to Indie Game

On 18 September at 15:30, the UDIT Professional Training Centre, locatedon the University's Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences Campus, hosted this session, featuring Estigia Softworks, an independent studio made up of students from the Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation and Interactive Environments. In this meeting, the team shared their journey from the development of their Final Degree Project to their evolution as a recognised studio in the national indie ecosystem.
Through their experience with Indoors, a horror videogame born as an academic prototype and transformed after multiple iterations into a professional project with presence in fairs such as Bilbao International Games (BIG), Dreamhack, Guerrilla Game Fest or MadridInGame, the members of Estigia Softworks addressed key issues such as teamwork, narrative design, realistic video game production, the transition to new engines such as Unreal Engine and the challenges of entrepreneurship in this industry.
The session continued on 19 September from 3.30 p.m. in classrooms 2.04 and 2.05 of the Campus, where Estigia Softworks presented a preview of the playable prologue of the new version of Indoors, entitled The Trespasser.
