The students of the Master's Degree in Illustration at UDIT reinterpret the Ateneo de Madrid in the exhibition ARTENEO. Young Illustration
The works of the students of the Master's Degree in Illustration at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, are the protagonists of the exhibition ARTE_NEO. Young Illustration, which can be visited from 24 March, the date of its inauguration, until 6 April at the Sala Laffón of the Ateneo de Madrid.
In this exhibition, the students will exhibit a series of posters in which they revisit the mythical Madrid building, reinterpreting its different spaces through contemporary graphics.
ARTE_NEO. Ilustración Joven is a completely free exhibition held as part of Ilustraweek, the Madrid Illustration Week organised by the trends and culture magazine El Duende, and represents a new approach to the Ateneo, a classic of the capital, by combining tradition, history and culture with current trends in illustration.
A look at the past, present and future
The immersion of UDIT students in the world of the Ateneo de Madrid began in February of this year, when they were able to visit the space, tour it and observe it in detail.
During this visit, the students of UDIT's Master's Degree in Illustration had the opportunity to walk through the spaces of this mythical building in Madrid, soaking up its essence in order to develop their works based on it.
The exhibition ARTE_NEO Ilustración Joven can be visited from the 24th of March until the 6th of April, from 11:00 h. to 14:00 h. and from 16:00 h. to 18:00 h., completely free of charge.
