UDIT's young designers open the official calendar of the 82nd Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
- UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology is, for more than a decade, the only University with its own fashion show in the official calendar of MBFWMadrid.
- 38 students from the University's Degree in Fashion Design presented their Spring-Summer 2026 collection at the 82nd edition of the Madrid catwalk.
A total of 38 students from the Official University Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology present, as part of the 82nd edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid catwalk, the collection "Los Ritmos" for the next Spring-Summer 2026 season.
In this way, UDIT renews its commitment to MBFWMadrid becoming, for the tenth consecutive year, the only University with its own fashion show within the official calendar of the catwalk.
Under the name "The Rhythms", the young fashion designers of UDIT will present their work in a fashion show that will be held at the Museum of America, a unique location, which stands out for its spectacularity and its symbolism, collecting the history and the footprint of America from prehistoric times.
UDIT's Spring-Summer 2026 collection has as its starting point the concept of "The Rhythms", an idea that opens up a universe of interpretations and which has been approached by the students of the Degree in Fashion Design from different perspectives, giving rise to an exercise of great creative richness.
Inspired by the beats of music, its link with dance and body movement or the internal rhythm of literature with its pauses and accents, each student has captured their imagination in garments that play with the contrast between the ethereal and the structured, fusing artisanal techniques, unique textures and palettes that alternate vibrant hues with sober tones. The result: a visual choreography in which fluidity and personality give shape to a narrative full of life.
This collection, which highlights rhythm as a universal code capable of connecting the individual with the collective, is one of the main projects of the students in the final year of the University's Degree in Fashion Design and is carried out by different subjects, ranging from ideation to the materialisation of the looks and including the selection and manipulation of textile materials and the styling of the proposal.
A special moment for the young designers, who have had the opportunity to present their work on the main fashion catwalk of our country and thus see the fruits of all the effort and training received. On this occasion, they were accompanied by an original symphony by Jacobo Serrano inspired by the fashion show itself, which added a sound dimension that further enriched the experience.
The designers of "Los Ritmos" are Taïna Marie Abelli, Sara Antolín de Pedro, Nora Arbina Ilarduya, Alba Arranz Pámpanas, Néstor Javier Arteaga Hernández, Meritxell Ayerbe García, Núria Caterina Bestard Corró, Keyla Cabral del Pozo, Paula Calvo Zamora, Paula Castañeda García, Lola Castellano Bejarano, Blanca de Bonrostro Benito, Laura del Río Ruiz de León, Lucía Díaz Baena, Nuria Doval López, Jaqueline Espa Cummins, Mónica Flores Casanovas, Ana Garrido Martín, Cristina Gelabert Álvarez, Paloma-María Gómez Flores, Gádor Hervella Plaza, Alba Labraca Ledesma, Francisca Moniz, Sara Montoto Reñé, Victoria Otero de la Iglesia, Lidia Pérez Sánchez, Carolina Ivonne Ponce Quintero, Laura Ramírez Salas, Valentina Rodríguez da Rocha, Álvaro Rodríguez Martín, Tomás Sánchez Ortega, Bárbara Sánchez-Guerrero García, Inés Sanz Sánchez, María del Carme Serra Crespí, Leire Tejedor Medina, Xabi Urquizar Calviño, Irene Yiman Valero Gil and Aarón Vives Jorro.
