On Thursday 17 October, illustrator Inma Hortas gave a session, organised by the Audiovisual and Graphic Creation Area of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, which could be followed through Zoom, in which she spoke about the creative process and how art direction uses illustration in its professional application.

Powerful volumes, attention to detail and vibrant use of colour

Inma Hortas is a freelance illustrator from Galicia whose style is characterised by a vibrant use of colour, powerful volumes and attention to detail, always under the prism of a flat, meticulous and fun graphic language.

Throughout her career, Inma Hortas has worked for clients such as Clarks Originals, Adidas Running, Cosmopolitan UK, The Guardian, Los Angeles Times or the University of Berkeley among others and, in each of these collaborations, she has left an indelible mark of her creativity and distinctive style.

Inma's work highlights her socially committed approach to the representation and richness of a diverse society, the empowerment of women and minorities, mental health... contributing with her work to give visibility and recognition to diversity in the contemporary artistic field.
