As a finalist in the third edition of the Greenwalk Awards competition, "A carta Cabal", the project of Blanca de Bonrostro, a student of the Degree in Fashion Design, will parade on the catwalk of the Greenwalk Awards competition.

Based on the zero waste philosophy, each garment in the student's project has been made using recycled fabrics, fabric scraps and remnants of her own creations. In this way, Blanca has created a circular cycle in which materials are reused and transformed into new fabrics, thus minimising waste and promoting sustainability in fashion. This approach, in turn, goes hand in hand with the philosophy and artisanal way of local and manual tailoring that the student carries out.

"A carta Cabal" is an allusion to the subtle melancholy that appears every time glasses break, tablecloths get stained and food runs out. Each of these small incidents leaves an indelible mark, reflecting the inevitable wear and tear of things.

The project will parade alongside participants from Madrid, Barcelona and Logroño on the Greenwalk Awards catwalk to be held on 3 October at the El Ventanal de la Sierra shopping centre (Colmenar Viejo, Madrid), where the winner of the third edition will be announced.

The Greenwalk Awards is a contest that promotes sustainability in the design and manufacture of new fashion garments, placing value on the environment and its conservation as the only sustainable path to the future.
