The young designer Antonio del Canto, alumni of the Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has debuted his collection "Kiss me at the Gate" on the EGO catwalk held as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
This proposal, inspired by the novel Ana Karenina, by Leon Tolstoy, and its different adaptations, both for ballet and theatre as well as for cinema, stands out for its elegant designs, in which there are details that recall the universe that surrounds the work, such as volumes, bows, skirts and silhouettes.
With this collection, Antonio del Canto has wanted to create forms that expand beyond conventional figures and give a new facet to the human anatomy, using fabrics that contribute as a form of visual expression in which to transport us to new concepts and create new visions artistically.
Emerging talent
Cadiz designer Antonio del Canto, who graduated from UDIT in 2023, is considered one of the main emerging talents of the moment. After having worked in Madrid and Paris, he founded his eponymous firm with the vision of creating a more artistic and artisanal approach to fashion and establishing very distinctive values and know-how.
