The video game G!RO, developed by ESNE students Víctor José Martínez Gutiérrez, Aitor Izurrategui de Castro, Santiago Gil Moya and Lorenzo Hernán Suero, has won the Audience Award at the Indie Burger Awards held as part of the Bilbao International Game Conference, which took place on 18 and 19 November in the Biscayan capital.G!RO is a hypercasualvideogame for mobile phones based on an "easy to learn, hard to master" design philosophy, in which the player will be in control of the shooting of a ship that rotates on itself and whose movement varies in intensity with each shot. The game has an extensive customisation system. Through a system of rewards that the user obtains for levels and which are translated into "coins", the user can change the scenario, player and enemy. The BIG Conference picks up the baton from the Fun&Serius Game Festival, held in Bilbao since 2011 and which became an international benchmark for the video game industry, attended not only by professionals but also by the general public attracted by this hobby. This year it has become an event exclusively for industry professionals and its activities include various activities, such as the Indie Developer Burger Awards, "the awards of independent developers for independent developers".
