PhD in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures. Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and Master's Degree in Teacher Training. She teaches English, Spanish and literature and is an official English examiner. She has been department coordinator and has received competitive grants such as the Herman E. Spivey Fellowship in the Humanities. Her areas of research revolve around the crime novel, the creation of a literary counter-canon, forgotten female authors, feminism and liminal genres, as well as the synergies between literature, art and video games.
