Mendia Echeverria (1989). Photographer from Navarre based in Madrid and Paris. She has a degree in Photography (URJC/TAI), a master's degree in Artistic Photography and Contemporary Narratives (URJC/TAI) and a PhD in Artistic Education (UAM). Memory is a recurring theme in her photographic work. In her current research she focuses on mapping different spaces, most of them linked to landscape and natural history to study new traces and methods of transmission of memories. Her exhibition career began in 2013 with Ofelia at the SegoviaFOTO festival, and continues to this day exhibiting in places such as Centre Pompidou, Tabacalera Madrid, Museo de Altamira, Museo de Navarra, Centro de arte contemporáneo Huarte, Art-hop-Polis in Paris, Galeria Cámara Oscura, Berlin Galeria, Galerie Nadar Tourcoing. Cartographie Éphémère, one of his latest projects has recently been published as a book with Ediciones Posibles. He has received important awards and grants, such as Rencontres Amis Musée Albert-Kahn in Paris, Ayudas a la Publicación de Centro Huarte, best exhibition festival off Photoespaña, Premios Fundación Enaire, Scan Tarragona, Premi Vila de Santanyí Francisco Bernareggi d'Arts Visuals, and has carried out artistic residencies in Madrid, Paris, Bordeaux, Alicante, Pamplona.
