UDIT hosts the presentation of the new logo of the Sustainability Commission of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain
- The new logo of the working group reflects the clear direct connection between nature and business sustainability.
- The project has been promoted by students of the Multimedia and Graphic Design Degree at UDIT - University of Design, Innovation and Technology of Madrid.
The Sustainability Commission of the British Chamber has presented the corporate image that will be present in all the communication of the business working group. The logo created tries to transmit the formality of the companies, but fleeing from the excessive seriousness that these radiate thanks to lively and youthful colours.
The visual image created plays with the absence of a defined form with a direct connection to nature or sustainability, highlighted with bright colours. The visual identity created was chosen from 16 projects submitted by second year students of the Multimedia and Graphic Design Degree at UDIT.
For Guillermo de Juan, president of the British Chamber's Sustainability Commission, the image created "represents very well what this working group is: modern, multi-sectorial companies whose pillars of business development include sustainability". "Moreover, the choice of this graphic image was not easy due to the high quality of the five finalist projects, something that speaks spectacularly well of the level of UDIT", concluded de Juan.
For their part, UDIT stresses "how enriching the experience has been for the students participating in the project, who have been able to see first-hand what it means to design for an entity with a strong social and committed character, as well as getting involved in a real project in which the interests of a multiple client, such as this committee, made up of companies of recognised prestige in their sectors, have to be met".
The logo of the Sustainability Committee has been designed "with a modern vision and a technological touch, breaking with the traditional perception of dullness commonly associated with sustainability issues. It conveys vitality and freshness, reflecting sustainability with the predominance of blue combined with vibrant green," says its creator Alejandra Viveros, a UDIT student.
This is the first event of the Sustainability Commission, which will have a public presentation on 10 April at 10.00 am in the auditorium of Uría Menéndez in Madrid. The British Chamber's working group is made up of seven British companies from different sectors: Arriva, Arup, BricoDêpot, Bunzl Distribution Spain, Gleeds, GSK and Redshaw Advisors.
