UDIT hosts the Computer Today 2024 Awards

Computer Hoy magazine, one of the most influential publications in the technology sector in Spain, held the Computer Hoy 2024 Awards gala on the campus of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology. The event, presented by Manuel del Campo (Managing Director of Henneo Magazines), was attended by more than 100 people, including prominent personalities from the sector.

In this edition, the magazine has once again recognised the most outstanding devices, products and services of the last 12 months, as well as professionals who have shone for their impact and contributions in 2024.

Samsung, with four awards, and Apple, with three, were the two most awarded brands. In addition, Samsung was voted by the audience as the best technology company of the past year. The awards are the result of thousands of votes cast by readers of the publication on its website. These are the products that won this year's awards:

  • Best eHome device: Amazon Echo Spot 2024.
  • Best Advanced Camera: Canon EOS R50.
  • Best WiFi device: FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro.
  • Best smartwatch/smartband: Huawei Watch GT5 Pro.
  • Best technology ecommerce: Amazon.
  • Best audio device: Apple AirPods 4 (ANC).
  • Best smart TV: LG OLED evo M4.
  • Best tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
  • Best laptop/convertible: Apple MacBook Air with M3 (2024).
  • Best desktop and gaming device: PlayStation 5 Pro.
  • Best entry-level smartphone: Realme 12x 5G.
  • Best mid-range smartphone: Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G.
  • Best high-end smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S24+.
  • Best premium smartphone: iPhone 16 Pro Max.
  • Best foldable smartphone: Honor Magic V3.
  • Best Technology Company: Samsung.


In addition to the reader-voted awards, a panel of judges from the Computer Today and Business Insider editorial staffs recognised the work of the best technology companies in other fields, with this year's highlights:

  • Most Revolutionary Technology Award 2024: Xiaomi SU7.
  • Breakthrough Brand Award: Oppo.
  • Best Brand Positioning Award: Vivo.
  • Editor's Choice Award: Samsung Galaxy Ring.


On the other hand, the publication has recognised the work of the best professionals in the IT industry, such as Cristina Isidoro, head of marketing, communication and social media in the consumer division of Huawei (award for the best professional career) and Bruce Huang, CEO of Honor in Spain and Portugal (CEO Insider award).

Finally, Laura Gómez, student of the Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Gonzalo Pérez, student of the Degree in Full-Stack Development at UDIT had the opportunity to award the special Young Promise Award of the Computer Hoy Awards to Natalia Rodríguez, CEO of Saturno Labs.
