Artificial intelligence will once again be at the service of the common good with the arrival of a new edition of the International Hackathon OdiseIA4Good 2026, to be held from 23 to 25 February 2026 in Madrid

The event, organised by OdiseIA (Observatory of the Ethical and Social Impact of Artificial Intelligence), with the support of Google.org and the Pablo VI Foundation, and in which UDIT participates as a partner university, aims to promote the development of innovative solutions for ethical, responsible and inclusive artificial intelligence, aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable groups

OdiseIA4Good is presented as the first international hackathon focused on the ethical application of AI, bringing together entrepreneurs, researchers, students, technology companies, social entities and public administrations with a common goal: to use technology as a driver of positive social transformation

In this sense, participants must design artificial intelligence solutions aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, young people at risk, people with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, as well as communities affected by climate change or natural disasters

The proposals, which can be submitted until 20 January, will be evaluated on the basis of their innovation, applicability and capacity for measurable social impact. The selected projects will participate in a three-day face-to-face grand final, during which they will work alongside expert mentors, third-sector organisations and institutional representatives

During the meeting, the teams will perfect their prototypes, attend specialised workshops and defend their projects before a jury through an elevator pitch. The winners will receive prizes aimed at developing their solution, including mentoring, technical support, incubation and international visibility

After the success of its previous edition (with more than 300 participants and 30 teams from 20 countries), OdiseIA4Good aspires in 2026 to become an international benchmark in social and technological innovation
