The Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, hosted a new working session of the Spain Design Index project, developed by the University together with the Leading Brands of Spain Forum and the consulting firms Thinkers Co. and Futurea 

This session was coordinated by Juan Gasca Rubio and Alfonso Romay, from Thinkers Co., with the participation of renowned professionals such as Anxo López, Design Principal Manager at BBVA; Martín B.,  Head of Innovation, Design and Research of Iberia; Soledat Berbegal, Director and Director of Corporate Reputation of ACTIU; Salvi Plaja, Chief Design and Sustainability Officer of SIMON and President of FAD; Carlos Rodríguez, from Televés Corporación, and Christian G., Product Design Manager of Endalia 

Pepa Casado D'Amato, Founder, and David Gobert-Cézanne Teigeiro, Founding Partner, participated on behalf of Futurea, while Pedro Vargas, Director of International Projects, participated from the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, and Digno Pastor, Director of Communication and Branding, from UDIT.

The great impact of design on society

Through this project, the participating institutions are working on the construction of a reference framework to help companies identify, implement and monitor key indicators that reflect the impact of design on their operations, customer experience and growth 

The Spain Design Index project arose after the results of the study carried out in 2023, which revealed that 52.6% of Spanish companies did not have this type of indicators at that time, creating a significant barrier to valuing design as a strategic asset that contributes to brand value and competitiveness in the market
