UDIT begins its first academic year with the largest range of specialised design training in Spain
More than 1,000 new students begin their undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Design and Technology this academic year.
UDIT, the University of Design and Technology, has started today, Friday 8 September, the 2023/2024 academic year, providing the largest specialised training offer in design in Spain.
This is the starting point of the first academic year of this new private university, based in Madrid, which is the culmination of the more than 20 years of educational project of the prestigious ESNE School of Design, widely recognised in the business and social sphere.
The day began at 9:30 a.m. in the UDIT Auditorium, with a welcoming ceremony for the new students, presided over by Dr. Juan Cayón Peña, Rector of the University.
In its first academic year, UDIT, University of Design and Technology will offer a total of nine bachelor's degrees and seven official university master's degrees, as well as a higher level training cycle, thus consolidating its position as the leading university in Spain in university education specialising in design.
Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the academic year 2023/24
In the 2023/24 academic year, UDIT will offer the following Official University Degrees: Design and Development of Video Games and Virtual Environments, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Multimedia and Graphic Design, Product Design, Audiovisual Design and Illustration, Fashion Management and Communication, Animation and Advertising and Brand Creation.
On the other hand, it will offer seven Official University Master's Degrees: User Experience, Artificial Intelligence, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Illustration, Product Design and Fashion Design. Similarly, UDIT has a vocational training centre which offers a Higher Level Training Cycle: 3D Animation, Games and Interactive Environments.
It should be noted that, in relation to the training offered in the previous academic year by ESNE, UDIT offers as novelties in its new course the Degree in Advertising and Brand Creation, as well as three new master's degrees: Artificial Intelligence, Illustration and Fashion Design.
In the opinion of Dr. Juan Cayón Peña, Rector of the University: "Degrees related to the field of design have experienced a boom in recent years and other generalist universities are beginning to offer them.
