UDIT appoints Javier Pascual as director of its new International Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences
UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has appointed Javier Pascual as Director of the new International Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences that the university will inaugurate during the next academic year 2024-2025.
Javier Pascual has more than 20 years of experience in the technology and innovation sector, having worked as a programmer, systems engineer and trainer for companies such as Astrasoft, Telefónica, Grupo Oesía and Apple.
Javier has also worked extensively for more than 18 years as a businessman and entrepreneur, currently being CEO and founder of the technology companies Singular Things and TIERRA Audio, and founder of the sports companies Singular WOD and CrossFit Singular Box, among others.
He also has extensive experience in the field of undergraduate and postgraduate university education, having worked as a teacher in the areas of programming operating environments, AI and entrepreneurship since 2021 at UDIT, both in the Degree in Design and Development of Video Games and in the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence; as well as ICT Director and Academic Coordinator of the institution between 2004 and 2007.
Javier Pascual studied Computer Engineering at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Madrid and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Creative Media Production from the University of Essex, as well as a Master's Degree in Image, Advertising and Corporate Identity from the UCJC.

UDIT's Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences training offer
The new UDIT International Campus will host the new Degrees that will begin to be taught in the academic year 2024-2025. Official University Degrees that UDIT's academic team has meticulously designed together with experts from important Spanish companies, and which are at the forefront of technological training with the highest demand for professionals:
- Degree in Full-Stack Software Development, for lovers of the most cutting-edge all-terrain programming.
- Degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, for those who want to be at the forefront of the strongest and most disruptive technological trend.
- Degree in Mathematics Applied to Software Engineering, for those students who want to change the world using the science of numbers.
In addition, the Degree in Product Design, with more than 9 years of successful trajectory, as well as the new promotions of the Master in UX, the Master in Product Design and the Master in Artificial Intelligence of UDIT will move to this new Campus.
This new Campus will also house UDIT's Higher Vocational Training Centre.
7,000m2 of state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to training in technology, innovation and applied sciences.
Located on one of the city's main thoroughfares, Calle Alcalá 506, the new UDIT campus will incorporate 7,000 new m2 of state-of-the-art facilities in addition to the nearly 14,000 m2 of buildings already in operation at Avenida Alfonso XIII, 97-99 and Calle Colombia, 44.
UDIT's new International Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences aims to become an absolutely disruptive and unique learning space in Madrid.
In this sense, it will host flexible and modular spaces to adapt to different needs and types of projects and spaces, fostering collaboration between students and faculty with technology companies and national and international scientific institutions, as well as with deeptech clusters and the most cutting-edge technology centres.
It will also be equipped with the latest technology in network infrastructures and communications systems, laboratory equipment and collaborative work tools.
The building will house specialised laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for different areas of study and experimentation, such as high-performance computing, robotics, the Internet of Things(IoT) and edge-computing, data science and Artificial Intelligence, advanced materials and sensors, blockchain, virtual and augmented reality, digital twins, or different aerospace technologies, among other technical-scientific areas.
In addition to these work and study areas, the building will have multiple spaces for rest and leisure, such as interior courtyards, terraces on each floor and a rooftop, where members of the university community can relax.
The new campus is ideally located in front of the Quinta de los Molinos Park, a green space with more than 20 hectares of land, a large number of gardens and a wide variety of recreational activities, including hiking, cycling, picnics and cultural events, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature and unwind after a day of study and work.
UDIT's new building has a privileged location, in the heart of one of the most important business hubs in the city of Madrid, with the Suanzes Metro station at the main entrance, several bus lines and Bicimad service, as well as easy connections to the A-2, M-30, M-40 and Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The building has a "WiredScore Gold" rating -an international certification standard that measures the connectivity and digital quality of buildings-; "LEED PLATINUM" certification -which includes measures that improve the energy efficiency of the building and reduce the impact on the environment- and "WELL GOLD" certification that guarantees the health, quality of life and comfort of its users.
