UDIT organises together with Garaje de Ideas the hackathon Robomania
UDIT, University of Design and Technology, has teamed up with the digital product agency Garaje de Ideas to create Robomania, a hackathon designed to develop the creative and logical side of the participants.
The hackathon, which will last 8 hours, will be held on Saturday 6 May at the offices of Garaje de Ideas and, in it, the participating students will have to create a Lego Inventor robot in teams that will compete with the one developed by the rest of the participants.
Each team will have a Lego kit to assemble the robot and a computer with the Lego program already installed. The programming is by means of logic blocks and the participants will have to define the rules for the robot's behaviour, when to attack, stop or run away using the sensors.
The aim of the activity is to promote and encourage innovation, talent and the development of new ideas that add value to society, with special emphasis on digital solutions in the area of development.
In addition, the organisation of the hackathon aims to foster an ecosystem of creativity and inspiration among the participants, helping them to share knowledge and experiences.
The winning team will win a prize of 1,000 euros on Amazon and, at the same time, all participants will be able to enter a prize draw to win various gifts.
