The Tendam Sustainability Lab, a collaborative hub between UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, the textile group TENDAM Retail and the consultancy IDavinci, has been awarded by the magazine CompromisoRSE. The award was presented during Sustainability Day, held at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid .
Juan Cayón, Rector of the University, and Ignacio Sierra, Managing Director of TENDAM, were in charge of collecting this important award, which highlights the excellence of the university's innovation practices and reinforces the work being done in applied research and knowledge transfer in projects of high academic and business impact .
In the words of Juan Cayón himself: "For UDIT it is a great satisfactionthat a company of the prestige of Tendam has given us the confidence to carry out such an ambitious project that works on the development of R&D&I projects, the transfer of innovation and the training of its employees. This award confirms that the work we are doing on both sides is going in the right direction and, in this sense, the satisfaction is twofold .
For all these reasons, I would like to thank the organisers of these awards, the magazine Compromiso RSE, as well as to congratulate those responsible for Tendam who entrusted us with this project and the Vice-Rectorate for Research at UDIT, which is doing a magnificent job".
Towards a circular and regenerative model
The Tendam Sustainability Lab project is a collaborative hub aimed at creating actions linked to the area of R&D&I. Its development is focused on integrating new technologies and methodologies of scientific rigour that continue to improve the efficiency and sustainability of textile production .
In this way, it is established as a sustainability laboratory that not only facilitates interaction and transfer of results, but also promotes an environment of innovation and serves as a space for research and development of solutions with a positive impact .
