"From Spain with Design: Identity and Territory", the important exhibition sponsored by UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology and organised by the Spanish Network of Design Associations (READ) in collaboration with the Madrid Designers' Association (DIMAD), held its inauguration event at the Matadero Design Centre in front of more than 300 guests from the fields of design and culture.

During his speech, Juan Cayón stressed: "At UDIT we have always believed in the importance of promoting excellence, creativity and innovation, and this exhibition that opens today is an eloquent example of these values. We are gathered here to celebrate the richness and diversity of Spanish design. A field that has flourished over the years, fusing tradition, technique and the avant-garde in a unique way".

The Rector added: "By sponsoring this exhibition, our University seeks not only to highlight the exceptional talent of Spanish designers, but also to foster intercultural dialogue and global collaboration, and I thank the promoters of this exhibition for giving UDIT the opportunity to contribute to the dissemination of this valuable manifestation of Spanish creativity.

The exhibition will be on display at Matadero Madrid's Central de Diseño from 1 February to 17 March.
