New Beernes with Mariano Sarmiento

As part of the Beernes lecture series, organised by the Master's in Graphic Design, a meeting was held on 10 March in the auditorium with Mariano Sarmiento, strategic design and communication consultant, who gave a workshop on employability.

Sarmiento studied Graphic Design at the Escuela de Arte Número Diez in Madrid and took a postgraduate course in Consolidation of Creative Industries at EOI Madrid. Subsequently, he has been complementing and expanding his training, which has allowed him to found wearebold.es and co-lead, together with Daniel Esteban, the studio Mejor and, recently, Work! Work & Design.

Through these agencies he has been able to develop a long professional career as a consultant in strategic design, branding and communication in international and national institutions such as the UN, Ministry of Science and Innovation, Madrid City Council, Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), World Food Programme (WFP), Cambridge University Press, Edelvives, Fundación Biodiversidad, Universidad de Deusto.

In addition, Mariano Sarmiento is a member of the Madrid Designers Association (Dimad) and SANNAS, the Association of Companies for the Triple Bottom Line.
