The Bilbao International Games (BIG) Conference has presented the finalists of its international independent video game contest, BIG Indie Contest, in which 150 studios from 35 countries are participating with their creations.
Darío Muñoz Lanuza, Jesús García Gutiérrez and Alberto Liu Zhu, students of the Degree in Design and Development of Videogames and Virtual Environments at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, have been selected as finalists in the Best University Game category thanks to their TFG Knight Overhand.
The project, developed by Darío, Jesús and Alberto, is a 2D platform game aimed at all those players looking for a challenge with novel mechanics and fluid movement and is aimed at young audiences who want to find new challenges and who enjoy playing games of skill and adventure.
The finalists, who will present their games to a jury of journalists and industry professionals, will exhibit their games in the Fun Zone, the showcase area of the BIG Conference.
The winning projects will be announced on 15 December at the Titanium Awards gala, held at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao.
