Laura Casado, a student of the Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, already knows what it means to be an entrepreneur and to succeed with a personal project, La Tropa Collective .
It is an urban clothing brand, created for lovers of reading who are willing to transform the existing stigmas around them. A project that emerged as her TFG and that, at first, was conceived as a collective for readers .
"The process of transforming my TFG into a brand has been quite progressive, because the truth is that I started very little by little. I began by making some pieces that were signed with the name of the brand, but one day I decided to register it, simply because I thought it was a way of taking a first step, but I didn't intend for this brand to end up forming as such", explains Laura Casado .
It was precisely the need to "tell certain things through fashion pieces" that prompted the designer to launch different products: T-shirts, caps, tops, bookmarks... A diverse, complete and fresh catalogue that has not stopped growing and has been very well received by the public .
Although it has been gradual and natural, this process of transforming her TFG into a registered brand and operating at full capacity has been accompanied by a lot of work and various challenges, among which Laura Casado highlights "understanding that when you make the decision to start a brand on your own, there are certain tasks that perhaps you didn't count on at the beginning, and that entails certain learning that I didn't have until now".
For now, she has no clear or firm short or medium-term objectives for La Tropa Collective, just to enjoy the process and, in short, to continue to enjoy creating and sharing .
