Salvador Marín, student of the Degree in Design and Development of Video Games and Virtual Environments at UDIT, University of Design and Technology, has won the award for Best Game in the latest edition of Madrid In Game Hack Jams thanks to his project "Patchwork".
Madrid in Game Hack Jams is a videogame creation marathon in which developers and teams create a videogame with a common theme in just 48 hours; in this edition, a game that revolves around fashion.
"Patchwork" is a project developed by Salvador "Deewa" Marín together with other university students that consists of a local cooperative game, where the objective is to attend to customers and make their orders before time runs out.
Due to the theme of this Jam, the students were able to count on the collaboration of the fashion designer Raquel Armanda during the project. Regarding the distribution of tasks, Rocío Benito was in charge of character design and handpaint texturing; Andrea Cremades, on the other hand, was in charge of 3D modelling of the video game; and Marco Expósito was the programmer and designer.
Salvador "Deewa" Marín, on the other hand, was the Producer, as well as in charge of rigging, animation, shaders and world building of the game.
Patchwork" is currently available on the itchi.io platform and can be played in single player, cooperative and multiplayer modes both locally and online.
