Six UDIT students finalists in the ANFACO Banco Sabadell Foundation 2023 ANFACO Design Awards

María del Mar Alamilla, Jimena Benito, Blanca Morales, Hugo Morán and Victoria Mugarra, final year students of the Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design and Sara Fisac, first year student of the Degree in Audiovisual Design and Illustration, have been selected as finalists in the 5th edition of the ANFACO Banco Sabadell Foundation 2023 Design Award.

María del Mar Alamilla, Jimena Benito, Blanca Morales, Hugo Morán and Victoria Mugarra, final year students of the Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design and Sara Fisac, first year student of the Degree in Audiovisual Design and Illustration, have been selected as finalists in the 5th edition of the ANFACO Banco Sabadell Foundation 2023 Design Award.

This award, promoted by the Banco Sabadell Foundation and ANFACO-CECOPESCA, consists of the creation of a packaging for the cans used in the campaign to promote the consumption of canned fish and seafood "Cata la Lata" (Taste the Can).

After reviewing the 179 participating entries, the jury of this fifth edition proclaimed the 6 students as finalists, whose proposals were exhibited during the prize-giving ceremony held in Vigo and will continue to be exhibited during the coming year at the ANFACO-CECOPESCA headquarters.

The jury was made up of renowned professionals from the graphic, audiovisual and artistic design sectors: Miquel Molins, president of the Banco Sabadell Foundation (chairman of the jury); Roberto Alonso, secretary general of ANFACO-CECOPESCA (vice-chairman of the jury); Román Pereiro, director of the CANAL UNO agency and associate professor of audiovisual communication and advertising at the University of Vigo; Ana Soler, multidisciplinary artist and teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra and director of the research group "dx5, digital & graphic art research" at the University of Vigo; Emilio Gil, graphic designer and founder in 1980 of Tau Diseño and Pati Núñez, graphic designer specialising in branding and packaging and the first woman to win the National Design Award in 2007.
