Sofía Martín and Elsa Gil, student and alumni of the Degree in Product Design, awarded at the LIT Lighting Design Awards ceremony.

Sofía Martín, a student in the final year of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, and Elsa Gil, a student and lecturer on the same Degree, have travelled to the United Kingdom to collect their prize at the LIT Lighting Design Awards.

Sofía Martín, a student in the final year of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, and Elsa Gil, a student and lecturer on the same degree, have travelled to the United Kingdom to collect their prize at the LIT Lighting Design Awards, an award that recognises the effort and talent of lighting designers and product designers on an international level.

Sofia's project, "Trateggio", is a delicate cylindrical piece made of porcelain using innovative 3D printing technology and won in the "Illuminated Home Décor" category.

Elsa's design, "Ma-ka", a lamp made of mycelium, was the winner of the "Designer and Custom Lighting" category in 2022 and has been able to collect her award in this new edition.

The LIT Lighting Design Awards 2024 ceremony was held at London's Banking Hall, a major event attended by more than 70 leading companies from 30 countries.
