- The young Mexican designer had 5 nominations in the Logo category.
Arturo Rolando Estrada, a student of the Master's in Graphic Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has won the National Design Prize of Mexico, where he is from, in the Logo category, in which he had a total of five nominations.
The proposal chosen by the Professional Jury was SōZō, a logo designed for a photography and video production company, which fuses the elegance and minimalism typical of Japanese culture.
In it, Arturo Estrada has used the rectangle and the circle, in allusion to the recording tapes and the mythical REC of the cameras, the red dot that appears when the recording starts. Likewise, he has opted for white and red tones, which refer to the Japanese flag, achieving a cultural and functional connection and standing out for its simplicity and symbolism.
Digit-All, Fasenta, Visor Histórico and Vlank were the other four nominated projects by the young designer, who last year won Silver in the same category thanks to his proposal Albañil Mexicano.
