After two years working on the project, the designs of Mathias Meneses, Pablo Gil, Rodrigo Lacal, Daniel Flores, Guillermo Fernández, Mateo Magaz, Begoña Sunyé, María Sánchez, Marina Oltra, Lucía Arburu, Álvaro Prota, Aleksander Kaczmarek, Adrián Martín, Micaela Salomone and Javier López, students of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, are now available for purchase at the prestigious furniture design firm Pilma.

The project arose after a briefing by the brand, in which the students presented their proposals so that, finally, three designs were selected for production:

  • KRAM, a solid mindi chair inspired by the Scandinavian design of Finn Juhl and designed by Guillermo Fernández, Mateo Magaz, Begoña Sunyé, María Sánchez and Marina Oltra.
  • ARPA, a solid mindi armchair upholstered in fabric, designed by Lucía Arburu, Álvaro Prota, Aleksander Kaczmarek, Adrián Martín, Micaela Salomone and Javier López. Its backrest evokes the strings of the instrument that gives it its name.
  • SWAN, an armchair inspired by the swan, the national animal of Denmark. Designed by Mathias Meneses, Pablo Gil, Rodrigo Lacal and Daniel Flores, it seeks to convey the visual lightness, warmth and elegance of Nordic design.

Ricard López, Partner and Art Director of Pilma and Roger Nierga, Marketing Director of the brand, met with the students to detail the changes and modifications made to the designs for their production.

All three products are currently available on the Pilma website.
