ZEP, the videogame developed by David Valero, Miguel Ángel Blanco, Víctor Manuel del Campo, Diego Fuentes, Norma Alejandra Martínez, Ignacio Tapia, Hugo Trillo and Álvaro Espinosa, students of the Degree in Video Game Design and Development at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has won the Award for Best University Game at the AEVI Bilbao Indie Game Contest.

The award was presented during the Titanium Awards Gala, which took place last Friday 13th December at the Euskalduna Palace (Bilbao), within the framework of the BIG Conference 2025.

ZEP is defined as a mixture of fishing mini-games and combat with bullet hell elements, all wrapped up in a cartoon aesthetic and a lot of humour. The player, in the role of the young fisherman Zep, must explore a vibrant marine world full of characters and varied aquatic fauna on the island of Muutu.

As winners of the Best University Game Award, this group of graduates has received a cash prize of 2,000 euros, which will allow them to continue working on the development and promotion of the game.
