Julia Sáinz
Presentation
PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) with Cum Laude distinction (2014), accredited as Contratada Doctora by ANECA and holder of a CNEAI research merit award (Sexenio). She received a one-year research grant at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe.
She is a member of the UCM Research Group on Museology and Documentation, Conservation and Restoration Techniques of Cultural Heritage, and takes part in INNOVA-Teaching projects related to cultural heritage in education.
She combines her teaching work with museology and cultural management, collaborating with the Community of Madrid, CA2M and CEHOPU.
An artist with an international career since 1992, her work employs metaphors to reflect on culture, knowledge and perception.
