UDIT advances in the development of the "Spain Design Index" together with the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, Thinkers and Futurea.
In 2023 the Spain Design Index study explored the role and maturity of design in organisations, highlighting a critical gap: 52.6% of Spanish companies do not have indicators to measure the impact of design in their operations.
This lack of measurement creates a barrier to valuing design as a strategic asset that contributes to brand value and market competitiveness.
From the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology and the consulting firms Thinkers Co. and Futurea, we have set out to respond to this challenge, tackling a project that aims to establish a model for measuring the impact of design, offering organisations tools to quantify and manage this resource effectively.
To this end, over the coming months, we will work to build a framework to help companies identify, implement and monitor key indicators that reflect the impact of design on their operations, customer experience and growth.
The project has recently started with a work and reflection session coordinated by Juan Gasca, CEO of ThinkersCo and María Pedrosa, UX lead, with the participation of renowned professionals such as Marta Alcañiz from BBVA, José Miguel Sánchez García from Telefónica, Soledat Berbegal from Acciona and José Miguel Sánchez García from Telefónica, Soledat Berbegal from Actiu, Salvi Plaja from SIMON and FAD, Javier Sanz and Digno Pastor representing UDIT and Dimad, María Albillos, lecturer at UDIT, Pepa Casado from Futurea and Pedro Vargas, Director of International Projects at FMRE.
