Bárbara Benayas, Gaizka Basterrechea and Sofía Martín, students of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, have been finalists in the first edition of the MINI Awards, held as part of the Madrid Design Festival.
Their proposal, "AccesToGo", proposes a sustainable mobility service with electric handbikes for people with motor disabilities and is a project that arose as a final project for the Design Management subject taught in the Degree.
It consists of an electric motor that is attached to the wheelchair and allows the person to move autonomously around the city, with all the advantages of other non-accessible services such as bicycles or scooters.
The MINI Awards are awards aimed at young designers with which MINI seeks to reward the creative attitude of those who want to change cities by putting their talent at the disposal of design to question, innovate and transform urban life.
