Student mobility
Incoming exchanges
Study in Madrid at one of Europe’s most innovative creative universities
UDIT welcomes international students who wish to enjoy a unique academic experience in the heart of Madrid. Through our incoming exchange programmes, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in a creative, international and multidisciplinary environment that connects you with the worlds of design, technology and innovation.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
If you are an undergraduate student at a foreign higher education institution, you can apply for a 1- or 2-semester exchange programme at UDIT, on any of our programmes, subject to availability. Please check the details of each programme type and the handbook, which contains full information on the application process. Upon completion of their stay, all incoming students will receive a transcript listing the modules they have passed, as well as other documentation, so that their home university can transfer the marks to their academic record.
If you wish to study a full degree programme or a short course at UDIT, please visit the admissions section for international students.
European Students: Erasmus+ Programme
Students enrolled at European schools and universities may be eligible for a study placement at UDIT through the Erasmus+ programme. Please check with your university and inform them of your interest in undertaking a study placement at our institution so that they can confirm whether there is a valid Erasmus+ agreement in place between the two institutions. If this is not the case, let them know that you wish to come to UDIT so that they can contact our International Relations Office, both to start the application process and to arrange the Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement.
At UDIT, classes are taught in Spanish. To help students adapt to other languages, their home universities offer them the OLS language support service provided by Erasmus+. Please check with your university to find out how this works.
Non-European Students: Bilateral Programme
If your home university is outside the European Union, you may still be eligible for a mobility placement at UDIT. To do so, your institution must have signed a bilateral agreement with UDIT, which sets out the general and financial conditions, as well as the agreed number of places. Please contact your international relations office to check this, and if you have any queries, please email us at international@udit.es.
If it is not possible to sign such an agreement, you may still be eligible for a 1- or 2-semester stay as a Study Abroad student; further information on this is available in the following section.

application procedures
Once UDIT has confirmed the shortlist of students for each intake, students must sign the acceptance or withdrawal form within the specified deadlines, as well as the liability form.
Once this has been completed, UDIT will be able to nominate each student to their host university. Once this nomination has been accepted, the application process for the chosen destination will begin. Students will receive instructions on how to apply for that place directly with the university, guided by UDIT’s International Relations Office and the degree programme to which they belong.
Throughout the application and selection process, and during the subsequent follow-up whilst abroad, it is very important that students remain in contact with the department at international@udit.es
