Antonio del Canto, a graduate of Fashion Designat UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technologyhas presented, for the second consecutive year, his proposals on the EGO catwalk, held as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, where he presented his Vertige collection.

Inspired by altered states of consciousness, this collection explores the psychology of the abyss through sleepwalking, dissociation, delirium and insomnia, among others. Thus, the young designer has reflected in the different garments the fragility and disorientation of these states through exaggerated and ethereal silhouettes, symmetrical cuts and fabrics that dissolve or fragment .

In Vertige, Antonio del Canto has used materials such as silks, gauzes, twills and taffetas, as well as a colour palette that includes greys, blacks, opalescent whites, golds, violets and aquamarines, creating a surreal atmosphere .

In this way, the colours play with intense and distorted contrasts, like delirium, while the translucent details evoke the sensation of insomnia and unfolding .

Vertige, the second collection presented by Antonio del Canto at MBFWMadrid, is conceived as a sensorial experience that invites us to reflect on the limits between waking and dreaming, between the real and the intangible .
