Chloe Sharpe holds a PhD in History of Art (University of York, 2018) and a Master's in Museology and Museums (UAH, 2011). A researcher and lecturer at UDIT, she is accredited as Profesora Contratada Doctora (Associate Professor) and holds a six-year research merit period (sexenio) recognised by ANECA. She specialises in nineteenth-century sculpture, in the work of the painter John Singer Sargent, and in the relationships between image and science. As a member of the NEURO-COLAB and VERSUS research groups at UDIT, her most recent work has focused on the analysis and perception of historic architecture. Her research has been funded by grants from the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Arts & Humanities Research Council. As part of the team of a national project on the material culture of medicine, led by the CSIC (Gabsmusana, HAR2015-64313-P), she has published several book chapters on anatomical sculpture. Her work has also appeared in The Sculpture Journal and with publishers including Yale University Press, Anthropos, Dykinson, Fragua and Barcelona University Press.
