Rector of UDIT

He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra, has been awarded two six-year research periods and is an ANECA-accredited lecturer. He is currently Rector of UDIT. His academic and professional career has focused on the optimisation of mechanical and energy systems, with particular interest in computational simulation, robotics and the development of sustainable engineering solutions.

With more than 40 scientific publications, including 19 in high-impact (Q1) journals, his work has spanned both industry and academia, promoting knowledge transfer and technological innovation. He has extensive teaching experience in engineering and in industrial R&D&I, and has worked for companies such as PKMTricept SL and DANA Automoción S.A., driving innovation in the automotive sector and industrial automation.

In academia, he was Principal Investigator of the GREEN research group at Nebrija University (2015–2022) and is currently a member of the DESIRE group at UDIT, focused on sustainable functional design. He has led multiple research projects, supervised three doctoral theses and more than 50 bachelor’s and master’s final projects, contributing to the education of new generations of engineers.
