UDIT reinforces its participation Madrid Design Festival
Once again this year, UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, is participating in Madrid Design Festival, the event that showcases the excellence of the work carried out by designers and gives visibility to a transcendental discipline that improves people's lives.
Moreover, in this edition, the University will play a more prominent role in the event as, along with its renowned Walk&Talk Routes, it will have its own space at Fiesta Design and will sponsor "From Spain with Design: Identity and Territory", the great exhibition of Spanish design, promoted by READ and organised and hosted in Madrid by DIMAD.
Madrid, converted into the world capital of design
With the objective of placing the city of Madrid in a privileged position in the international context of design and with the intention of encompassing all disciplines -from architecture to graphic design, passing through communication or interior design-, the Madrid Design Festival project was born.
Among all the initiatives proposed in the event, in this new edition, UDIT participates in Fiesta Design, located in the Francisco Giner de los Ríos Foundation, through the experiential space Saber Crear.
Designed by the Senda Interiorismo studio, founded by Interior Design Degree students Elena Fernández and Miriam Palacios and with the collaboration of FINSA, a company dedicated to the industrial transformation of wood, UDIT will present this regenerative space that aims to become a protagonist and a meeting point for reflection, dissemination and dialogue with the public.
A place that also allows to highlight the creative talent of designers and creators trained at UDIT, as it will house designs by different students and graduates in Product Design from the University.
UDIT also participates in Madrid Design Festival through the great exhibition of Spanish design: From Spain with Design: Identity and Territory. A project of READ (Spanish Network of Design Associations) whose objective is to bring the creative and productive fabric of Spanish design closer to society.
Co-organised by DIMAD and sponsored by UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, the exhibition will feature more than a hundred works by professionals from different communities, with special emphasis on Madrid design.
Finally, to complete UDIT's participation in Madrid Design Festival, from the Salamanca neighbourhood to Madrid de las Letras and during four different weekends, UDIT's Walk & Talk routes, guided by professors and graduates of the institution, will bring the best Interior Design, the best Product Design, the most emblematic signs of Madrid and the History of Fashion, to all the participants through corners, studios, showrooms or outstanding firms and designers.
