A qualified architect who graduated with the highest honours from the School of Architecture at San Pablo CEU University in Madrid in 2011.
Throughout his professional career, he has developed projects of various scales and types both nationally and internationally, having been part of the team at the Picado & De Blas practice for six years. Having gained experience on large-scale projects whilst working for MYD, in 2014 he began to focus on detail, leading the design of furniture pieces for the Gronne brand. He has also carried out several projects in Spain on his own account, receiving recognition for his work.
Since 2015, he has been a founding partner of Álvarez Sotelo Arquitectos, an architecture and interior design firm that has received both national and international awards; his work has been featured in various specialist publications, and he has given presentations on his work at various design schools and universities.
In 2022, he co-founded hiwood, a creative workshop dedicated to craftsmanship and decorative art with an international reach.
In 2025, he was also recognised by ECAAD as one of the 40 best young architects in Europe.
She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Projects at UDIT, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology, on the Interior Design degree programme.
