Laura Sanmiquel-Molinero

Laura Sanmiquel-Molinero is a senior researcher at the Milán y Fontanales Institute for Research in the Humanities (IMF-CSIC), specialising in critical studies of disability, ableism and intersectionality. She holds a PhD in ‘Person and Society in the Contemporary World’ from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and her research focuses on the analysis of social inequalities and the processes by which disability is constructed. She has carried out her research within the AFIN group at the UAB and at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Adopting a critical and feminist perspective, she has published numerous academic works addressing the relationships between disability, gender and identity, as well as forms of resistance to ableist norms.
