Rafael Socorro is Head of Data & Advanced Analytics in ACCIONA's Construction division, specialising in aligning complex data ecosystems with business objectives and driving digital transformation. He has a solid international track record leading the design and operation of data platforms in the cloud, with a special focus on the integration of heterogeneous and highly complex information sources, and on the design of scalable architectures with both batch and real-time processing pipelines.
His profile combines strategic vision with mastery of the modern data stack, having led dozens of initiatives ranging from data modelling and management to advanced analytics, MLOps and Generative Artificial Intelligence. In addition to his corporate work, he acts as an expert technology and innovation evaluator for the European Research Council (ERC) and the European Commission.
He is a regular speaker at industry forums on Data and AI and an active member of leading executive communities such as the CDO Club, AI Directors and CIONET. He combines his executive work with teaching, bringing to the classroom the practical reality of how mass data processing solutions are built, scaled and governed in a global corporate environment.
